Willow Grange Farm Cambridgeshire Wedding

This day had so many components of my favourite type of wedding; outside, colourful with a very laid-back vibe.  Bridget and Rob had a beautiful, sunny wedding at Willow Grange Farm in Cambridgeshire.  They had chosen shorter coverage of the day so I arrived at the farm in time for the ceremony.  The chairs were all set up or their outdoor ceremony, the garden games were laid out for the guests to enjoy later, the tables were set for dinner and the shepherds huts and bell tents were ready for everybody to collapse into at the end of the night.  I loved this venue right away! Bridget and Rob had their ceremony under the oak pergola before walking back down the aisle under a cloud of coral confetti.  As it was an incredibly hot day everybody needed a chance to have a drink and seek some shade before we started our group photos which we decided to do in front of the corrugated iron on the side of the barn.  It was partially shaded here so definitely the best option and I loved the texture of the iron! Everybody was grateful to head into the marquee and out of the heat for a bit for speeches and a delicious bbq and salad style dinner.  The garden games were a massive hit – hook a duck in particular (it got rather competitive) tug of war and bowles was the perfect early evening game to enjoy on the gravel path.  Keeping with the outdoor, relaxed theme Bridget and Rob had hired a walk-around band which I had never seen before! It was such a good idea, especially for an outdoor summer wedding where you don’t tend to head into the marquee until much later, everybody got to enjoy the music this way!
