Milling Barn Wedding Photography – Katie and Alex
I was super happy to be back at Milling Barn in Buntingford for Katie and Alex’s big day on the 20th April which is actually on my own wedding anniversary…what a great day to get married! Milling Barn is one of my favourite local venues (partly because of the gorgeous rustic vibes but also partly because they always give suppliers dessert!) Katie and Alex were both getting ready on site so I was able to pop in between them both and help the boys with their buttonholes before we did the classic pretending that they had done them themselves trick. It was not the warmest of April days but Milling Barn have a cosy area for an indoor drinks reception as well as a lovely terrace outside so everybody could warm up with a drink after confetti and family photos. We did most of our couple portraits before dinner as we weren’t sure whether we would even get a sunset but there was a nice gentle golden glow after dinner and speeches so we headed out again for a few more which I think was definitely worth it! I made full use of the mezzanine in the main barn to take a big group shot of everybody after cake cutting (there was no way I was going to manage to get everybody outside in the cold earlier!) before dancing began and there was just time for a shot outside with the fairy lights before I left them to enjoy the rest of their day.
