Hi, I’m Jane! I figure that you might want to know a little more about me before you commit to spending quite a bit of time with me on one of the most important days of your life!

I was born in Edinburgh but have been living down south for 10 years. I don’t think I’ve lost my accent at all but lots of people don’t pick it up and think I’m from all sorts of places! I live in a cosy (aka- tiny!) old house with my husband Chris, our two children, Amelie (8) and Isaac (5), my ever growing collection of house plants (who all have names) and far too many cushions for my husband’s liking.

My favourite things are reading, laughing, running, hot baths and holidays.  I love the sea and nothing makes me happier than a blustery walk on the beach, its good for the soul! Most family weekends for us will involve an outdoor adventure or two, a game (exploding kittens is our family favourite!) and when I’m not shooting weddings we can often be found in Scotland or Wales visiting our respective homelands and families. My children are thoroughly bored with my constant need to photograph everything we do together but despite this they humour me most of the time and there’s nothing they won’t do for a kinder egg. You can follow our family adventures here.

I wasn’t born with a camera in my hand, more likely a book - I am a total bookworm and I can inhale a book a day if I’m not busy. This love of stories definitely inspires my love photography. Books are brilliant but for me, photographs can tell a story in a way that words can’t; they are stories, records, memories and pieces of art rolled into one.  When my children were born it was my urge to capture our family story that led me to pick up a camera. Wedding days are full of stories waiting to be captured and retold and it is the BEST job to be able to do that! I want you to be able to look at your photographs in years to come and remember what your day felt like, not just how everything and everyone looked. My favourite shots are nearly always the candid ones, the little moments in-between the bigger ones, the ones where nobody really noticed I was there but tell the story of the day perfectly.

One of the best bits about my job is getting to meet so many different people; I love hearing about how you met, what your wedding plans are and what means the most to you.
